Brooks Adaptive Sports and Recreation hosted the 8th Annual Southern Slam Quad Rugby Tournament on January 9-11,2015 at the Jacksonville Ice and Sportsplex, and UroMed/Edgepark were on hand to cheer on the competitors as proud sponsors.
Edgepark/UroMed representative Nicole White attended the event and helped answer questions from both players and attendees about products and services provided by both companies.
The Southern Slam has become one of the largest tournaments of its kind, and attracts some of the best players and teams from across the United States. This year the field continued to expand, as the tournament played host to international teams for the first time including teams from Canada.
Competing teams included:
Brooks Bandits Blue
EWAF New York Warriors
Brooks Bandits Gold
South Florida Rattlers
Although the Southern Slam featured a high level of competition, the tournament was an event for the entire family with activities and events throughout the weekend that included a barbeque cookout and a raffle/silent auction. Click here to view the Schedule of Events
