UroMed Assists University of Alabama Research Project For People With Disabilities

Beyond the services we provide, giving back to the community is a cornerstone of UroMed’s overall mission and commitment to our customers.  One key aspect of our community giving program is the ongoing goal of creating resources that help improve the lives and lifestyles of individuals who have disabilities.  That’s why we’re excited to share the following research effort with you today!

Two researchers from the University of Alabama are hard at work on an initiative that will create a website concerning exercise and nutrition for individuals with varying physical disabilities.   Led by David A. Birch, PhD, MCHES,  Chair of the Department of Health Science, this project will provide a valuable resource for individuals with physical disabilities who are looking to increase their physical activity.

The first step of the project involves talking with as many people as possible to better understand what their current physical activity levels are and what they would like to accomplish.  To gather this information, our BAMA friends kindly request your help and feedback. Please share your thoughts with them by taking a quick survey here:  http://alabama.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_bKEG1htnwYt521D

The survey focuses on the importance of improving health by increasing physical activity.  This survey is intended to be taken only by people who have physical disabilities.

The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. It is 100% anonymous and your participation in the study is voluntary. You will indicate your permission to participate in the study by your completion and submission of the questionnaire. You may stop taking the survey at any point.

Thank you in advance for participating!

If you have any questions about this study and the forthcoming website on physical activity for persons with disabilities, please contact:
