Bert spoke about his experience as a Paralympic gold medalist and entrepreneur, and gave insights on:

  • Work/School,
  • Dating,
  • Children,
  • Marriage,
  • Sexuality,
  • Sports and
  • Bladder/Bowel Management.

The event was attended by professionals and patients alike and some even shared their stories of hope and recovery. One young man had a spinal cord injury but is now able to walk with the use of a cane while another gentleman, injured in a 4-wheeling accident, had his house rebuilt thanks to students at the high school where he used to coach! After the program, UroMed representative Vicki Sizer  answered questions that participants had.
