Since all mobility problems are different, we try and determine what we can do to help them solve whatever issues they may have with their vehicles. If our customers already own vehicles they can use, then we will install the modifications appropriate for their specific needs. For instance, if one of our customers has a car that he or she can get in and out of, but say they can’t use their legs, we can install hand controls to enable them to drive as well.

If the person already owns a van but doesn’t have a lift to help him of her in or out, or there is no way to transfer from the chair to the driver’s seat, we can install a transfer system. We try and do everything we can to help our customers get the specific devices they need in their vehicles. We’ll also help them to purchase a new or a used vehicle, if they don’t already have one. Often if someone has a power chair, the vehicle may not be designed to accommodate the weight of it. Then we can make modifications to help eliminate the problem. We also sell used vehicles that already have modifications made that may meet an individual’s specific needs.

We take trade ins, so that if your physical condition changes, you’re not burdened with a vehicle that no longer suits your situation. We also have a buy back program where we will gladly take any equipment or vehicles we sell. We want to make becoming mobile as simple and inexpensive as it possibly can be for all of our customers. All someone needs to do is call us, and we can usually find a way to meet their needs. United Access will do everything they can do meet the specific needs of the customer.
